  • What Is Liver Cancer?

Liver cancer is to be feared being the eighth most common cancer in the world. Your liver plays an important detoxification role for your body. If your liver breaks down, digestion of your fats via bile cannot take place. Filtering of your blood to remove drugs, waste and toxins can also be severely affected. Getting liver damage or liver cancer would be disastrous as it means that all these important functions cannot be performed. In the worst case scenario, liver cancer can result in death. Keygold

Liver cancer develops when liver cells multiply at abnormal rates. They then attack healthy parts of the same organ or neighboring cells. Cancer cells soon spread beyond their original location to other parts and organs to establish new tumors, in a process known as metastasis.

Your liver, including every organ in your body, is comprised of cells. Cells are living things. Hence, they are born and they die. Your body is always making new cells to replace the old and dead ones. This process has to be tightly regulated. If not, there will be chaos. Cancer cells interfere with the normal functioning of this process. Tinboxcn

Your liver, at approximately 1.5 kilograms in weight, is the biggest organ inside your body. You may not even realize the presence of a liver inside of you as it is hidden in your right upper abdomen, underneath and protected by your right rib cage. Your liver is perhaps the busiest organ in your body, tasked with numerous functions.

The liver makes the different proteins that your body needs, which include enzymes, hormones, antibodies, and other substances necessary for the proper functioning of your body. It is the power plant of your body since it is the primary source of energy. It also filters your blood to remove toxins and produces bile to help in the digestion of fat.

It is the most parsimonious organ in the body, extracting anything that can be used from your blood and storing it for future use. Uoetek

There are two types of liver cancer, primary and secondary. Primary liver cancer means the tumor starts from the the liver. Hepatocellular cancer (abbreviated HCC) is the most common form (90 percent) of primary liver cancer. HCC originates from hepatocytes, the liver cells responsible for most of its functions. Other types of primary liver cancer are rare. They include cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer arising from bile ducts within the liver and hepatoblastoma, which occurs in children, and gallbladder cancer.

Secondary liver cancer means the cancer started somewhere else and spread (metastasized) to the liver. In secondary liver cancer, patients do not have “liver cancer” technically. Patients are actually experiencing metastases to their liver. Gold-media

Risk to developing liver cancer depends on various factors. Sex and age plays a part, as with diet and lifestyle habits. In terms of sex, men are 2.8 times more likely to be affected than women. Your risk also increases after the age of 40. High rates have been noted in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines. Studies also show that rates are high among Chinese and Koreans in Los Angeles and among Chinese in the San Francisco Bay area, although those rates are about half of mainland China rates. A diet that comprises of processed and highly preserved foods is generally considered toxic to the liver. For today’s senior citizens, technology is always changing, especially with communications. • Natural Supplements That Boost Immune Function For HIV.

HIV and AIDS is a medical problem that has confounded the medical community since its introduction to the world. It was first identified in the United States around 1980, largely unheard of before this time with a few isolated exceptions that match the disease’s symptoms. The HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, and AIDS for acquired immune deficiency syndrome.

AIDS is a disease that results in damage the immune system, which over time leaves individuals susceptible to infections that weaken the body. AIDS/HIV is transferred through bodily fluids, including blood, semen, and breast milk. Reservedpowers

As AIDS reaches pandemic stages, researchers are trying to find a solution for this terrible disease that in 2007 was estimated at infecting 88.2 million people worldwide.

The normal course of treatment has been AZT and other cocktails of antiviral drugs. Although these drugs can slow the progression of this disease, no one has yet found the cure. Studies are looking into natural supplements to fight this disease.

There are multiple studies that have taken into consideration the effects of regular vitamin supplements for the body. A completely unique and new type of dietary supplement, combining immune-modulators and direct acting anti-viral compounds from all-natural sources has emerged using medicinal mushrooms.

These compounds have been tested in a number of different clinical Trials, and have been found to be extremely safe and effective. The Chinese have used many of these mushrooms to boost immune function for centuries.

These fungi serve as immunomodulators. Mushroom derived immune enhancers have been used in cancer therapy worldwide since their discovery in 1976. Examples of these types of mushroom derived polysaccharide compounds are Lentinan, PSK, PSP, Grifolan, and the cross-linked beta-mannans from Cordyceps.

These have all been used in clinical trials on HIV patients, both alone and in combination with HAART drugs. And they have all shown effectiveness.

Two separate researchers on opposite sides of the Earth – one in China, one in California, have screened 27 herbs from traditional Chinese medicine to see how it impacted the AIDS virus. These herbs were purified and tested to find out what happened to the HIV cells while not damaging the normal cells.

The results showed that several of these herbs would fight the disease through a controlled assay. Viola yesdoensis was the most effective. This herb reduced the percentage of infection cells from 12.8 to zero, 3.8 to .4, and 21.5 to .4 in three separate assays.

Other herbs were also found to be effective, but with limited research and lack of funding, these researchers are unable to continue studies to find more definitive results. There is also no way without research to find levels that would be safe for human consumption, or how it would react with the human body. Tajvillas

Researching these herbs on your own may be beneficial, but it is definitely best to speak with an herbalist as well as your own doctor before trying any herbs on your own.

The New England Journal of Medicine, VOL 351.23-32, reports a study with 1078 pregnant women infected with AIDS. These women were given daily supplements of vitamin A and multi-vitamins. This study found that women who took the multi-vitamins lowered the viral loads on the body, but vitamin A alone had smaller benefits.

  • Can Milk Thistle Prevent Liver Cancer?

Toxic substances surround us every day, in our food, water, medications, and especially the air we breathe. These toxins are extremely detrimental to the health of your liver, and your choice of liver support supplements can drastically affect this very important organ. Milk thistle has long been known for its liver supportive and protective qualities, and is the number one herbal supplement prescribed for most liver ailments. Cyberabadsecuritycouncil

It has proven in various clinical studies to have a profound effect on the progression of fibrosis, and has been quite effective in slowing the rate of advancement of liver damage.

Most people are aware of the stages of liver disease: inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and liver failure. If not treated in the early stages, liver cancer (Hepatocellular carcinoma or HCC) can develop. Milk thistle has been proven to help protect liver cells against further damage from harmful toxins, which speed up the progression of the above stages of liver disease. Supplementing with milk thistle in the early stages can keep the disease from quickly advancing towards liver cancer. Cartouche-thermostatique

In addition to keeping liver cells healthy, milk thistle can also help these vital organ regenerate new liver cells, in an effort to prevent any additional scar tissue from developing.

Milk thistle, or silymarin, is made up of three main components – and silybin is the most beneficial to the liver. This highly concentrated part of milk thistle has the most therapeutic effects on the liver. A research show that not only is milk thistle anti-fibrotic and anti-inflammatory, but it has potent antioxidants and can block toxins from invading the liver.

Because it is an herbal supplement, the FDA has not approved milk thistle as a treatment for any condition or disease, including liver cancer. Gktravels

However, the clinical research offers hope that milk thistle’s proven ability to help fight liver disease makes it a viable liver cancer preventive method. Anyone with advancing liver disease can benefit from this therapeutic supplement that has no known contraindications or interactions .

Liver cancer, also known as hepatocellular cancer (HCC), arises from hepatocytes (liver cells). HCC often develops only in liver that is severely damaged by longstanding diseases or chemicals. The liver becomes hardened and shrunken – a condition called liver cirrhosis.

The liver can also be subjected to another form of cancer, called secondary or metastatic cancer. The main cancer forms elsewhere in the body and secondary deposits are formed in the liver. A common example is colorectal cancer spreading to the liver via the bloodstream.

Liver Cancer is common in South East Asia, including Singapore. This is due to the presence of chronic hepatitis B and C infection in the population. In Singapore, liver cancer is the 4th most common cancer. It is more common in males and among the Chinese population.

Chronic infection with Hepatitis B and C viruses

    Excessive consumption of alcohol. Roadrunneremail

Aflatoxin, a poisonous substance produced by a fungus found in mouldy peanuts and grains

Chemicals such as nitrites, hydrocarbons, solvents, vinyl chloride are known carcinogens linked to HCC

Inherited conditions which cause liver cirrhosis, such as haemachromatosis, Wilson’s disease

These usually do not show up until the later stages:

One of the most common presentations is loss of appetite, loss of weight and tiredness

When the cancer is big, the patient may note a persistent pain or a lump in his upper right abdomen

    Increase in the abdomen girth

    Jaundice

Dramatic change in the overall condition of a person with chronic hepatitis or cirrhosis

    Prevention

Vaccinate against hepatitis B virus. In Singapore, all newborns are vaccinated

Avoid contact with known liver carcinogens, especially alcohol

Avoid heavy meat and animal fat intake. Avoid mouldy peanuts and grains

Go for regular screening if you are in the high risk group. vanshikacabs

  • Connection and an Important Liver Support Supplement

According to the American Liver Foundation, more than 25 million Americans are afflicted with liver and gallbladder disease and more than 43,000 die of liver disease each year. While several factors contribute to liver damage, viral hepatitis is the single most important cause of liver disease in the United States and worldwide.

Roughly 200 million people worldwide are infected with the Hepatitis C virus (HCV). 4.9 million of those are in the United States (estimates go as high as 15 million) and 5 million in Western Europe. For every one person infected with the AIDS virus, there are more than four infected with Hepatitis C. Veotech

There are up to 230,000 new hepatitis C infections in the U.S. every year. Currently, 8,000 to 10,000 deaths each year are a result of HCV. Within the next 10-20 years, chronic hepatitis C is predicted to become a major burden on the health care system as patients with no symptoms progress to end-stage liver disease and develop hepatocellular carcinoma.

Predictions in the USA suggest that there will be a 60% increase in the incidence of cirrhosis, a 68% increase in hematoma incidence, a 528% increase in the need for transplantation, and a 223% increase in liver death rate.

The roles of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in causing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are well documented. The frequency of HCC correlates with chronic HBV infection rates. HCC is a cancer arising from the liver.

It is also known as primary liver cancer or hematoma. HCC is the fifth most common cancer in the world and the majority of patients with HCC will die within one year because of the cancer. The majority of primary liver cancers (over 90 to 95 %) arises from liver cells and is called hepatocellular cancer or carcinoma.

In 1990, the World Health Organization estimated that there were about 430,000 new cases of HCC worldwide, and a similar number of patients died resulting from this disease. Moreover, recent data show that the frequency of HCC in the U.S. overall is rising. Is there a way to curb this rise? Techkreislauf

While there is no cure for hepatitis and no completely effective treatment, the threats resulting from HCC, cirrhosis, and various hepatitis strands may best be combated by supporting the liver with natural supplements.

This extremely effective combination of ingredients has Double Blind Studies verifying decreases in degenerative liver damage in patients with chronic liver disease (cirrhosis of the liver) in as few as 30 to 90 days.

  • All You Need to Know About RCC, HCC, and DTC

Cancer, a deadly disease, is a condition where cells of any body part start growing without control. The cells further divide and grow to spread into other body parts. In a healthy body, old or damaged cells die while other cells divide and form new cells.

Cancer disturbs this process; new cells are formed when not required. These new cells divide and divide, forming tumors. Cancer like leukemia’s develops solid tumors, while blood cancer does not form any tumor.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) or kidney cancer is one of the common types of kidney cancer. Usually, kidney cancer starts with a single tumor in the kidney or two tumors, each in both the kidneys.

The kidney is the bean-shaped body part, which take care of purifying the blood. Kidneys remove excess salts, water, and other chemical wastes from the blood and eject them from the body through urine. Since every blood drop enters the kidneys, it is easy for the cancer cells to spread to the kidneys.

The survival rate of RCC is above 70% for at least five years. RCC can be cured with surgery or transplant.

Hepatocellular Carcinoma is chronic, the third leading reason for deaths across the world. Liver cancer is different from other cancers due to its functioning. In addition to the severity, this type of cancer forms solid tumors.

Liver cancers mostly occur in men than in women. Other diseases like Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C and hemochromatosis cause liver tumors. Other reasons, like excess alcohol and chronic liver inflammation, cause RCC.

RCC is diagnosed by several blood tests, imaging tests, i.e., CT and MRI, and a liver biopsy. Though liver cancer is critical to curing, specialists try to make it less painful by surgeries and liver transplant

The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland located in the lower part of the neck below the larynx. The thyroid controls the endocrine system of the body that controls the hormones in the body. There are five types of thyroid cancers.

Thyroid cancer usually starts with excess growth of cells in the thyroid gland and further spread to other parts. Though thyroid cancer is a common type of cancer, the reason behind the cause is unknown. Women and people with high radiation exposure tend to the risk of thyroid cancer.

Sorafekast is an anti-cancer medicine manufactured by BDR Pharmaceuticals International Pvt. Ltd. Sorafekast is best-known for its ability to fight tumors.

This drug helps fight cancer by stopping the growth of tumor cells, reduces the speed of blood flow, and speeds the self-destruction of cells.

  • HCC or Hepatocellular Carcinoma – Primary Cancer of the Liver

While the most common cause of liver cancer that affects individuals in the United States is caused by a cancer that has originated within another part of the body and metastasized or spread, HCC or hepatocellular carcinoma is cancer that begins in the liver and accounts for up to fifty percent of all liver cancer worldwide. 8channel

Unfortunately, the prognosis for this type of liver cancer is extremely poor as only ten to twenty percent of the cancerous tumors that develop are able to be removed. The remaining cancer causes this condition to be fatal in the majority of patients within approximately three to six months. Topitemreview

Hepatocellular carcinoma is most commonly seen in individuals who have developed cirrhosis which is the scarring of the liver that is caused from the damage done by various diseases and conditions. The most common cause of cirrhosis in the United States is the abuse of alcohol or alcoholism.

The excess consumption of alcohol causes the normal tissues of the liver to be destroyed and replaced by scar tissue. Other causes of cirrhosis that can result in primary liver cancer are the hepatitis viruses B and C, birth defects, hemochromatosis (iron overload), and other chronic infections that affect the liver.

Certain substances or environmental factors have also been associated with liver cancer and include smoking, chemicals including arsenic and vinyl chloride, and herbicides. Aflatoxins which are a type of plant mold that has been known to cause cancer have also been suspected as a contributing factor in liver cancer.

Unfortunately, symptoms of HCC are typically not noticeable in the early stages and go undiscovered until the cancer has reached the later stages and has interfered with liver functioning.

These symptoms include unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite, a general feeling of tiredness or weakness and fatigue, nausea or vomiting, swelling of the abdomen and pain in the area of the upper abdomen, liver enlargement, and jaundice which is the yellowing of the skin and whites if the eyes. The treatment for liver cancer can vary significantly depending on what stage the cancer has reached. Focustodays

The options that may be utilized in the treatment of liver cancer include surgical procedures that involve either the partial removal of the liver or a liver transplantation. Other methods of treatment that are typically used to treat other forms of cancer as well may include freezing or heating the cancer cells, the direct injection of alcohol into the tumors, chemotherapy and radiation.

A drug called sorafenib has also been found to be effective in delaying the progression of those patients with primary liver cancers and is typically given to those patients who are in the later stages of this disease.

The primary methods in order to reduce your risk of developing primary liver cancer or HCC, are avoiding the excessive use of alcohol and protecting yourself from the hepatitis viruses by safe sexual practices, avoiding illicit drug use and needle sharing, as well as making sure that if you get any body piercing or tattooing done, you ensure that it is done by a professional or shop that uses clean equipment and needles that are sterile. • Is Hepatitis B Contagious?

Living with hepatitis B is very difficult, but fortunately – today we have a natural way to cure it, which anyone can easily apply at their homes. There are lots of problems with having hepatitis B, and it can greatly limit your life in many ways.

That’s why it is important to understand some basic facts about this disease, and is hepatitis b contagious. Read on. Hepatitis B can be a touch difficult to detect as much as half of the infected people do not exhibit any symptoms that may alarm doctors. That’s one of the reason why living with hepatitis b is hard.

A patient infected with HBV virus can start showing symptoms after thirty days from the date of infection, while some even show signs of this disease as late as after 180 days from the date of infection.

Common Hepatitis B patients show symptoms such as nausea, appetite loss, fever, severe itching, and experiencing pain under the right rib cage, jaundice, exhaustion, color of urine turning dark, vomiting and grayish stools appearing on body.

Is hepatitis b contagious? Asking people you know, to go get a hepatitis b vaccine is beneficial, because they won’t have to be living with hepatitis b, like you. Vaccine for Hepatitis B was first developed in 1981.

It contains HBV surface antigen ‘HbsAg’ and it is received in three doses. According to experts’ recommendations, the second dose should be received at least one month after receiving the first dose, while the third and final dose ought to be received after at least three months from the date of the first vaccination.

Initially doctors and medical experts thought that Hepatitis B vaccination can prevent the disease for up to seven years, however, later on research showed that subjects with good first response to the vaccination become immune to Hepatitis B for as long as 25 years.

How can hepatitis B be cured? There is a new treatment option, which was developed in 2009 in Australia. It is a herbal cure, which anyone can apply at the privacy of their own home.

It is based on the fact that after introducing certain herbs in the body, the enzymes which the hepatitis B virus uses in order to replicate, are blocked.

Hepatitis B is a liver infection that is quite serious and is caused by HBV or hepatitis virus. Hepatitis B can become chronic, lasting over six months. When it is chronic, the risk of liver failure, cirrhosis, or liver cancer is usually high.

In adults, full recovery is possible even when it is severe. When kids get the infection, the likelihood of it becoming chronic is high. There is a vaccine that can help with prevention. However, a cure is yet to be found. Mysainsburysuk

Symptoms can be either severe or mild. They appear from 1-4 months after infection. There are cases where symptoms are noticed two weeks after infection. However, in some people, especially children, there are no symptoms.

HBV causes infection. It can be passed from one person to the next through body fluids such as semen and blood. The infection cannot spread through coughing or sneezing. It can spread through:

The body can clear hepatitis B when it’s acute, and one can recover fully in a couple of months. However, it can become chronic, especially when the body is unable to fight it. It can also last throughout a person’s life leading to other issues.

  • Anatomy of Belief, In Fitness

In part 1, I broke down the 3 moving parts of a belief and I promised to share more about how this impacts your experience with fitness, exercise or physical performance.

So, here I am, delivering on that promise. I want to dive into the first moving part I talked about. Where are you right now in your health and fitness?

Or… if your an athlete, where are you in your performance level?

Are you as fit as you would like to be?

Are you burning the fat that you’re striving to rid yourself of?

Are you gaining strength and muscle mass you’re working out hard for?

Are you upping your game and making leaps in your performance at your sport?

If you answered no to any of these questions (or the ones relevant to you), then you have more than likely reached a plateau. A plateau is often a point of diminishing return like is often experienced in many strength training regimes, which is often resolved with a change in workout, but this is not the type of plateau I’m referring to.

This is a belief plateau. Whereby what needs to change is what you see to be true and how you feel about your experience, possibilities and yourself. If you’re exercising, working out or training towards a certain goal but you’ve stopped getting progress for a long time, then you may have reached your thermostatic point. The point that you feel comfortable at (but not necessarily satisfied with).

And if you’ve been struggling to make progress for a while, then the one thing holding you back is a belief or two about your ability, potential or worthiness.

If you know what those beliefs are, as I stated in part 1, it’s valuable to know what gives those beliefs their strength. What are the references that make you feel that the belief that’s holding you back is true? These references come in the form of past experiences, memories and lessons you may have been taught.

The more of these there are, the stronger the belief. Say you have a belief that says, “I just can’t build muscle because I’m really skinny and I always have been.”

One thing that you will have to do is exposing yourself to healthy and fit people; if you are an athlete then it will be necessary for you to train with athletes of your caliber or even better. If you’ve never been fit all your life, then you’d better visit a park or a health club where people are working out. Badgirlbail

For the sake of your fitness motivation, I want to emphasize that there is no absolute solution to your success. You will have to sit down with at least two books every month, and living out what’s inside the book. Test that knowledge against what you know about the subject matter, and then practice it! While doing this remember to document everything for your future review, and it also acts as a record, for you to clearly see that you were productive.

If you think that you know everything about training your abdominal muscles, legs, arms or any other aspect of your health and fitness, then you are in for a rude shock. Why you wonder!, the reason is you are no longer coachable once you take up such a spirit.

There are some people out there who cannot be successful with their personal fitness trainers because they constantly challenge their trainers or always suggesting what should be done. At the end of the workout session, the trainer is drained and they lack the necessary fitness inspiration for the next workout session.

Here is the hard truth: Those of us who refuse to exercise or eat right, are basically saying that they don’t see the point, and unless something really awful happens, such as developing high blood pressure, only then will they start paying attention to exercise and nutrition. It doesn’t take a tragedy for you to change your mind.

To those who are skeptical I urge them to visit their local hospital on a regular basis, for about three months. The amount of exposure you will get will be overbearing-and I can confidently say that, you will be a different person. This is your journey, nobody is forcing you to do anything, but don’t let awful conditions force you to change your ways.

You fitness inspiration will shoot up to the skies the moment you come to God, your father. Talk to him and ask him to teach you something. You will be amazed! No longer will you be expressing words such as. “Well, in our family we’re just fat”. Instead you will be uttering words such as “the lord is my constant, instant and abundant supplier”. So that even if you don’t enjoy working out in a traditional fitness center.
